My last AI FTP detection update it has been on September, in October didn’t change, until today I was following the counter back which was indicating an incoming possibility to detect an eventual change. This morning the message says the FTP value is still valid but did not perform the re-calculation screen and green dot I was used to and now it does not even tell me when a new calculation might be available. Am I missing something? Thanks, Luca
Hi Luca,
Do you perform all your rides “outside” of TrainerRoad? If so you need to manually choose “Detect FTP” under your Account settings in the app
Are you in the specially phase of a plan?

FTP updated this morning,
I have the sensation it is just the counter back regarding the 28 days which was uncorrectly missing 1 more days.
Usually my update was falling on Thursday, on September I missed and I did it on Friday, which in fact also was in this case.
At least this in my interpretation..
Anyhow I am sad I saw a 0,8% reduction

There has been many since I signed back up in August.
I only remember I thread on one which effected a load of people on a certain date in August (I think) 
I must have been lucky and swerved them all 
Just to clarify, this bug only held back some athletes’ AI FTP Detections for an extra few hours before allowing them to run it.
This resolved itself for pretty much all who were affected, like in the OP’s case.

I’m experiencing this exact same bug right now. How long did it take to resolve itself? (It’s been a bit over half a day for me with no change)
It looks like you were able to get a detection on the 29th, and your previous detection was on November 1st, so it sounds like things were working as intended with the 28-day gate.
We do count down to the hour, rather than the day, so FTP detection isn’t always available right away on the morning of the 28th day.

I got an AI FTP alert yesterday so I clicked it and lost 10%. I have been off the bike for 3 weeks but haven’t been dormant. Ten percent WTF, I’ve never lost that much. Guess the randomized roll of the dice wasn’t in my favor.
That’s strange - I’m 100% sure the countdown went to 0 in the 28th (ie, Thursday night into Friday the 28th would be the FTP New Year’s ball drop). Then all day Friday it gave the error with no countdown shown and no detection, then it worked when I tried again on the 29th. So maybe the countdown is just reading/re-starting from the wrong midnight? You’re right that the 29th would be the correct detection day for me there, but the countdown definitely counted down to the 28th.
I’m sure that new FTP detections used to be available at midnight?
