Hi folks, as weather got better I have more time to train outside. I want to add endurance after my sweet spot intervals and I wonder how to do it properly. Let’s say I do a sweet spot workout and have spare 30-50 min. to ride in z2/endurance. After I complete the workout I have to manually choose proper endurance ride on my head unit that’s clear for now. What if I choose 60 min workout / like muir/, but I have time to do only 45 mins of it. Does TR take this into consideration? My problem is that I do not know exactly how many minutes I have to ride each time, because I have many variables in life that are sometimes limiting. Thank you
I don’t even bother adding separate Z2 workout, simply continuing existing workout. From TR AI FTP detection perspective, it does not matter, all your work is taken into account.
Only reason to start new Z2 workout, is to get credit for Progression Level increases. As <1h PL is quite small and my real Z2 workout PLs is considerably higher, even this does not matter.
Make sense, thank you very much!
@svens I couldn’t have said it better myself!
@Eushev24 You’re not losing much in terms of PLs by not loading up 30-60 minute endurance workouts. Just make sure that what you’re tacking on to the end of your workout doesn’t affect your ability to knock out the next hard workout.
If you regularly have lots of extra energy after your hard workouts, it could be worth using Workout Alternates to find a similar workout that’s slightly longer, too!
Thanks I will consider that too.
