If not: he has only himself to blame. He broke the cardinal rule and gave an ETA on a deliverable that wasn’t finished ![]()
The developers know where the bodies are buried.
Quick update: we are at 745 athletes today , and adding more daily! I’ll start posting updates more frequently here as well as in the OP. ![]()
WHAT?!?!
This isn’t exactly software for air traffic control systems or firmware for a respiratory ventilator. Let’s have a little perspective here. Nobody’s admission to Adaptive Training Beta makes a gnats-ass worth of difference to planet Earth.
If you’re used to TrainerRoad workouts, you already know which workouts will stress which particular energy system. You already know which versions of them are harder or easier than others. You already know which days are likely to be successful, and which days will end in a puddle of failure. I’d happily give away my status in the AT Beta to everyone else here if it would stop this kind of ‘blame Nate’ game.
Internet forums. Shakes head.
Are you advocating violence toward the CEO of the company?
So, I just received my invite email. Before I click the magic button, I have a concern I can’t find the answer to. I searched this specific thread for the word “triathlon” and it came up empty.
I’m currently using a plan-builder built Olympic Triathlon Mid Volume plan. I know that AT is not going to change anything with my running and swimming workouts, which I’m fine with. However, if I join the beta, is it going to start messing about with my bike workouts already scheduled?
If you’re currently on a Plan Builder-based custom plan, Adaptive Training’s onboarding should be able to seamlessly enable adaptations on your existing plan. It won’t affect completed workouts, scheduled events, or planned time off, but will enable adaptations on future cycling workouts. However, no adaptations will ever occur without you accepting them, so your plan will never update suddenly without you accepting the changes.
Congrats to you! Enjoy it ![]()
It’s one of 2 things. Either you’re sitting on a mightily high horse, or I’m very, very small.
And to answer your question, I’m not only advocating, I’m actively sponsoring. 3 teams are currently converging towards his location. The rise of the machines will be halted!
PS: I think we are derailing the thread. Apologies to the moderators for the escalation, it’s my last attempt at humour, promised
I feel for you @holybinch. The irony of this quote is delicious.
Fun fact: software for air traffic control systems or firmware for a respiratory ventilator also make a gnats-ass difference for planet earth
. They just impact the people who feel they need those. It’s just a matter of perspective, really ![]()
Hey Ivy, how you doing?
You are my fave podcaster by a long way, a fabulous addition to the team

Based on this, could you add my username to the top of the AT list? ![]()
Haha I WISH! We’re adding athletes randomly from those who’ve signed up for beta access, and as we continue to work through the major bugs and confusion points that arise, we’ll keep adding groups of athletes in larger and larger increments each week. Thanks for your patience!
Number of Athletes in Adaptive Training Beta as of today 4/27/21 : 925! ![]()
Thanks, all.
Hi @IvyAudrain , could you please ask the team to add the functionality of multiple taps to the “extend cool down” buttons?
I’ve just noticed that the Android app now seems to only let you tap it once before it disappears. The old app (still on my ancient tablet in the cave) allows multiple taps which is much nicer when adding 30-60min endurance on my rides when I don’t want to dial up a separate endurance ride.
Thanks heaps and good luck in Utah!
I also signed up immediately and got into the beta this week. There’s always hope.
Great the number of athletes in AT has doubled again
So many issues being fixed, congratulations TR team ![]()
Bit off-topic, I don’t know where to say this.
I just checked again, but I don’t see any forum, TR activity, strava or instagram activity of Nate. I’m a bit worried, and just really really hope he and his family are okay. I just hope that in a while he is back and all is okay.
Is there a way to retrospectively remove oneself from the list of people on the list to gain access to the beta?
Am now fully into my outdoor season. It is programmed and structured (by me) but I don’t upload the rides anywhere except my PC in WKO. That won’t help the AT beta testing and ultimate full release happen faster.
Happy to reduce the waiting list by n=1 such that someone who will provide data will have a better chance of getting in. Suspect many others in northern hemisphere are in similar situation.
Let’s get these spots to people who will feed the machine!!
Wouldn’t a re-install of the plain vanilla production version from the web site do that?
I don’t have access yet and would just give up the spot on the list.
I would have used AT for an indoor block when initially announced, but that time has come and gone. Since access is randomly granted, I’d rather come off the list so someone who is currently doing a TR plan get access rather than me.
It’s a very minor question and I doubt TR team cares as they can just adjust the beta access numbers to get “enough” testers who are contributing and providing feedback.
Given the folks waiting who really want AT, was just curious and thinking about being a good citizen.
