A tradgedy unfolding in cycling apparel

AG2R is no longer a headline sponsor. Meaning that next year will be the first I can remember with no brown shorts in the peloton. Unless the race is muddy.

I don’t like those shorts…but it is kind of sad.

I got A VanRysel bib shorts. Its not the best of quality IMHO, but they certainly are more affordable

I guess you had not seen the AG2R kit before they went brown. Its a bit dated, but I thought the brown was a big step down from the Blue/White/Yellow kit they had prior. I think they had some better looking kit before this pic, but couldn’t dig it up in a reasonable amount of time.

Is that a combined leaders/KOM jersey? Never knew such a thing existed.

yep many combo jersey variations were used between 1968-1989 in LeTour

You mean an AG2R rider leading a race? Or just the split jersey thing…

I have some brown leggings so I’m pretty sad they’re gone!

Side note their new bikes look pretty good too.

It’s possible, but I’ll be very surprised if they’re going to ride in decathlon kit unless it’s custom or they have new stuff coming out. I have a jacket from there that I really like, but yeah… the bibs didn’t look very inspiring on the rack.

this is what I bought. The chamois is weird, there’s a parting down the middle that’s un-filled. It’s like those Berk Saddles with the Groove extending from Front to back, More like a Chamois for left and right cheek instead of a 1 piece.

Having said that, given the price (I got it when it wasn’t on sale USD99) it pales in comparison to my Giordano FRC.

But some things at Decathlon is definitely good and value
