Agree, I want 110mm up front with the option to put on a 120mm fork. I wouldn’t mind a little slacker HTA, but I’m a good bike handler and been pretty happy with 68.5. So either way is fine. I pray for better paint schemes.
I think it’s trail dependant, but my Spark with 120 front (77.2°HTA) is definitely faster and more confident than any of my previous bikes over fast technical sections/descents.
Also, the 910 has a pretty sick paint job, but aesthetics are personal, and I can definitely appreciate some of the different styles.
Shock will be 100% hidden. My guess is there will be a huge cover you take off at the bottom of the down tube to get in there and make adjustments and a SAG indicator will be somewhere on the linkage.
I’m not sure how much more slack they’ll make it. Maybe 67.5/68-ish for the RC/WC editions. Probbly a fully integrated dropper post as well if we’re really going off the rails here.
The 910 had a great paint scheme agreed.
Does anyone know, are the bold cycles shocks their own design? Or do they utilise Fox/Rockshox shocks within their own internal linkage/structural design?
Edit for wild speculation: Spark will go from all the cables, to none. Fully hidden Dangerholm style except the front brake…?
Can’t wait till tomorrow when my bike suddenly feels slower and outdated
Hope the new one holds 2 bottles though…
Ok, I take back my statement about the 100% hidden shock. I think the RC/WC edition won’t have the hidden shock to save weight - but the ‘trail’/910/900 premium of the Spark will be hidden.
I did wonder if it would be light enough. But where does the change in hunch come from?
I just really need it to have room for 2 bottle cages. That was the main thing holding me back from buying the current version. Don’t wanna have to put on a backpack for all the >30km rides.
Current no1 on my list is the Orbea Oiz, but they have severe supply issues, as in close to 1 year waiting time. I dropped the Canyon Lux for now cuz of the 70 degree headtude angle. Would That one could really use an update imo.
This works great and what I’ve used for my first 3 races this year. It can hold both a 24 oz and 22 oz bottle. Then I carry a extra bottle in my jersey for longer and/or hotter days.
Change of plans for me. My LBS originally told me that the BMC I placed a deposit on would be available “early summer”, and then switched that to “late fall”. I spent some time looking at other options and came across Vitus bikes through Wiggle/ChainReaction. I opted to just buy this instead of wait on the BMC that either will or won’t come and could possibly be more expensive than when I put the deposit down.
Seems like pretty solid spec for the money…geo is pretty similar to the BMC as well.
I made a dedicated thread with the PB article for starters. Will add more soon.
Thanks, that is just what I’m looking for!
Sick looking bike btw.
I need this too. Sold out on amazon though here in USA
I bought it and had it shipped from Africa
New Spark released, Ta da:
Yup, that and many more links in my separate thread:
So pumped, after a long winter accumulating parts I have built up my XC weapon of choice. I went with the Epic Evo, found a Pro frame on Pinkbike and built from there.

Unreal ride. I immediately jumped on the bike to beat the impending thunderstorms, wearing jeans and a hoodie and all. I ripped around the hills, up and down. The combo of the seriously light weight and forgiving ride make this thing want to rip all out at all times. Up and down. Waffled for a long time between the Epic and Epic Evo, and am extremely happy with my choice. I know a lot of people have considered the two. For me, I’ve previously owned and Epic and totally loved it. But at this point, I wanted something that would shift to be a bit more on the fun side without giving up much, if at all, in speed and efficiency. So for me, the answer was to build a super light Evo. I’ll race it, and I’ll also take it out on epic weekend adventures.
What bottle cage adapter thing is that? I will be buying one!
Sweet build! I’ve also been considering the epic and epic evo. I’m curious to hear how well the evo pedals without the brain.
