Zwift Integration (Xert got there 2nd)

I think you’re right.

I think when you complete a workout on TR it puts the ride into one of the following buckets.

  1. Fail - incomplete. When the workout is cut short.
  2. Fail - under targets. When you are significantly below the prescribed power for the intervals.
  3. Pass
  4. Super-Pass - When you are significantly above the prescribed power.

You also get either a pass survey or a fail survey to complete.

I think that the survey is the most important thing to have a solution for with regards to zwift integration and making sure AI adaptive training still works.

I think I’ll probably keep running zwift and TR in parallel.

I like the TR player. The TR player also opens far-far quicker on my PC.

I’m usually around 5mins into my TR workout before my avatar is on its way in zwift

Watopia loads faster on my side but it takes more time than systm that im using now (not on TR ATM).

Do you think you will get Zwift XP points for successfully completing TrainerRoad workouts in Zwift?

EDIT: reading this then it looks like you will but you might actually get more XP just doing it the old way and running TR separately for hard rides.

Certainly, just like running a workout from any source in Zwift.

It’d be cool if this launches before the Tour of Watopia is over, because you’ll get 1.5x XP for doing workouts on a ToW route: Zwift Update Version 1.77 (136131) Released | Zwift Insider

If you’ve been riding Tour of Watopia events and routes, you know there are XP bonuses available. Riders earn 2x the usual XP when riding in ToW events, and 1.5x the usual when riding a ToW route on demand.

Now, with this week’s update, if you do a workout on a ToW route, the XP you earn will be increased by 1.5x.

Or until Zwift buys TrainerRoad.

  1. Per Ray Maker, the likelihood for that happening has long passed. Perhaps that will change in the future, but I don’t see it happening.
  2. Even if that happened, what would specifically change in your estimation, that would directly address the point I raised?

No thanks.

Stupid me I thought the extra xp was only awarded after the challenge :face_with_peeking_eye:

Thank you! And I totally agree with TR’s prioritization. Much appreciate the latest updates. Zwift integration will make endurance long rides more “engaging” in the winter but when it comes to higher intensity workouts I personally need to lock in and focus on the task at hand and will be using TR’s workout UI.

Looks like @Nate_Pearson did a TR workout in Zwift. Via his strava:

Burner Zwift account for purposes of this project? I kinda find it hard to believe that Nate would only be at Level 1. I mean, everyone has been on Zwift at some point in the last 10 years.

Definitely encouraging…unless Nate just manually built the workout into Zwift.

Update in the comment

Whats the “our new ML system”, is this something new / upcoming … I’ve never thought of AT as ML, why be surprised that he got baxter if it was on the calender

Or am I reading to much into it ?

This is cool, I assume ML machine learning is the AT yeah

Like say, don’t consider AT to be ML, but even if it is … why call it new

Yeah , cool though, got my ant+ stick ordered just in case

I would describe the new custom plan builder as ML - I assumed that was what Nate was talking about but could be wrong.

I need this integration ASAP. Wasting too much time setting both apps by order (TR first) and selecting BT on one and ant+ only on the other and with some trainer control issues along the way. Today none of the apps detected my ant+ so only one can be used. Starting the workout more than half an hour later and pissed off but in a 2h30 TR endurance I do need some extra distraction.
Also having to delect every time one of them on strava is an unnecessary task.
