Windows 10 Tablet mode - no change in screen orientation

Hi alltogether,
I’m new on this forum, so please be patient with me.

I’m currently using TR on an ipad air (Mod. 2019) and a Lenovo windows tablet (Windows 10, 1909).
The ipad easily flips screen orientation if I turn it by 90 degrees (portrait <=> landscape), which is a very useful feature.
Same thing does not work on the windows tablet, neither in normal nor in tablet mode.
I’m a little bit confused about this and question myself, whether this is an issue of the Windows tablet or tablet configuration, or if this is not implemented in Windows tablets at all.

Regards
Markus

Hey Markus!

I just tested this in the office with a Surface Pro and the rotation works without issue :+1:.

Here are a few things to check:

  1. Place the tablet into Pad/Tablet mode.
  2. Click the Start Start menu and select Settings .
  3. Click System .
  4. Click Display .
  5. Scroll down and toggle Lock rotation of this display to OFF.

Let me know if this works!

Dear Bryce,

thanks a lot for your suggestion.

I checked it again and now it did work.

Possibly it did not work at first, because I flipped into tablet mode when TR was already started.

This time I started TR when I was already in tablet mode – the rotation now worked flawlessly.

Kind regards

Markus
