Will this work - sram wide - need a larger ring

Ok, I am having some issues where I think I need more Q factor. I can gain 5mm of q by swapping to sram xplr crank set. This issue is this crankset is limited to 46 tooth rings and its thread mounted. I want a 48-56 ring. If I buy red xprl crankset no power meter its direct mount, which would allow me to run an aero chain ring resolving my issue. I then could run a wide crankset on my road and gravel bike.

Are you running road or mtb pedals?

Not sure what you’re doing for a power meter, but Assioma Duo Shi will get you ~26mm total extra stance width (~13mm per side).

If road pedals, you could try these adapters to get an extra 10mm of lateral adjustment for your cleats before making any big equipment changes.

I am trying to get more q on a road and gravel bike. I would run road pedals on road and mtb on gravel. xtr and dura ace both sell pedals that give more spindle length. That might be the place I start at first.

+1 on keeping your current cranks if possible. Lots of options to push pedals out. Some pedals have options for longer spindles and there are also aftermarket spindle options for some pedals. And there are pedal extenders that you can use with your current cranks and pedals (push them out quite a bit though).
