For sure. Heart is one of the most important organ.
I’m only 46, so not over the hill yet. My FTP has went down but my weight loss after getting a tumour cut out has offset it to a large degree and over a longer distance I’m riding faster. I have probably started to lose that short term power and have less matches to burn. Knowing a few TTers older than me I think the stronger longer but weaker shorter trend will continue for a wee bit longer, perhaps into my 70s. Besides when everything does start to go (speed wise) I hope I can be like the TTers like Peter Horsnall and still enjoying things at 92.
