The thing is, that’s the point, its not as complicated as “you lot” are making it out to be and following the plans, using PLs, AT and RLGL is more than good enough for the average user that doesnt want/need to concern themselves with them minutia 
If that doesnt fit ones bill then one is free to deviate and use ones own knowledge/experience. But that doesnt make it wrong for everyone
