What's the best Trainer to use with TR?

That’s awesome. I think we have a winner!

PS: I’m curious as to what made you use the PM and the Core separately on the ramp test…?

Also curious as to why you warmed up 10 minutes prior to calibration…? Is that a required step for all workouts or is it just your personal preference?

The first time I ever used powermatch (with my Kickr Snap) it didn’t work properly on the final step of the ramp test. I kept pedaling but it held a lower power because my cadence dropped. TR support looked at my file and said TR was sending a message to the erg to increase power/resistance but it wasn’t responding. It messed up my test so since then I’ve always recorded them separately. I should probably try powermatch again with the Core but I’m hesitant.

Wahoo says to calibrate the Kickr Core after a 10 min of warmup every couple weeks for the most accurate/consistent power. It probably doesn’t matter if your using powermatch. It has been (Snap) and I guess I’ll just keep it as my routine before ramp tests as extra warmup for myself and to calibrate the brake.

Got it. Makes total sense.
Thanks a lot for all the knowledge shared!

What did you use to get the graphs??

Looking at the Saris H3, they on its web site that: " Compatible with Shimano/SRAM 8-11 speed cassettes"

What 's the recommendation for an off-wheel trainer + a 12-speed MTB (SRAM) ?

I don’t know the answers off hand, but found some topics that may have some info.
