What is the threshold for "not recommended"?

Genuine question as I’m slightly amused - what is the threshold for “not recommended" due to intensity for the AI system?

I was looking at my workout for Thursday. It has a 2.7% chance of failure. Looked at a an alternative session (I appreciate that the two workouts have a different distribution of effort.). The alternate had a failure chance of 4.6%.

To me personally, a failure chance that low is acceptable. I’d give that a go. But the system is suggesting that this is too high a risk?

If the chance was up above 10%, or the predicted difficulty was Very hard I’d not question it.

It’s it the 2.5% to 3.0% range. I like the suggestion of looking at the power curves for both workouts and deciding after.

I think they spoke about this a bit on one of the Jonathan and Nate podcasts around launch. Either the second one or the Q and A one. I think it’s around 3%. I originally thought it was 2.5% but it’s letting you go with a 2.7.

I think they want to push people to the edge with the least chance of failure. You get better results from being consistent and doing tough work vs failing 1 out of 10 or 1 out of 20 workouts.

Baird is 120% 1 min on,30s off.

The other is 115% - 130% 1 min on, 1 min off. So has one set with a higher intensity, but more rest between reps.

@Elgro has provided the answer - somewhere around 3%, with the rationale from TR.
