I like your persistence

Jan 1 5hrs gardening; digging, painting, building, planting

Jan 2 c. 40mins casual riding, 50mins hill run

Jan 3 …Takes deep breath; 10min hard riding, 2500m swim, 1h45 Gibraltar, 30min treadmill run, 10min casual riding and one ale.

A little bit hesitant about Alice, recovery run and interval swim tomorrow.

I didn’t ride my bicycle until today! The first couple days of the month were spent with friends and getting ready for the new semester. Finally got a 1hr Ebbetts session in this morning.

I didn’t plan it this way but a ramp test fell on the 1st. Went from an ftp of 206 to 220. It was in the middle of 4 12 hour night shifts as a critical care RN so not at my most rested. I’m redoing SSB 2 LV and skipped Ebbets today so I’ll be doing that and Kaweah on back to back days.

I tried Lazy Mountain on Day 1 but am still rehabbing ankle soreness. I’ve decided to take the rest of the week which seems to be working. Good thing my A race isn’t until September :+1:t2:

Just because the dates work out like this (my A race is in 28 weeks + a couple of days), I have a recovery week this week:

Jan 1st: Jane Bald + damaged my big chainring (oops)
Jan 2nd: 2x 20 min easy (commutes either end of the day)
Jan 3rd: Pettit

1st AM - Slept it out as a family. Drink was involved but my head was pretty clear. Pushed out the ramp test/ first week of general build another week, and did Baxter to start the excesses burn…
2nd - Pre work outdoor spin
3rd - Pre work outdoor spin
4th - Pre work outdoor spin…

Wife and Children off this week, so looking to spend time with them in the evenings while extra curricula activities are also off, and taking advantage of fairly benign weather to get outdoors with light traffic…

I was hoping to start a renewed committment to strength and conditioning, but he’s not back until next week. Moved furniture instead.
