anyone have any recommendations to replace the Elite FlyWeight 550ml bottles? They seem to drip every where and carb drink is hard to get off the frames…
I find the Rapha 625mm bottles a fine size for grabbing of the frame and I like their non drip mechanism. They are Camelbak bottles branded Rapha.
I use the ABLOC ones. Like the shape and look, non drip spout is nice too.
are these the ones with the twist top or the pull top ?
I have some of the latest ones with the pull top
I use either Abloc or Polar ( both insulated and non insulated ) for higher capacity/longer rides.
even have a vintage 1998 or so Polar (retired)
All mine have a screw on top and its a decent size to actually get a scoop in. The nozzle works some how with just sucking and when you are not sucking there is no drip; though there is a locking mechanism for transporting in a car etc.
Apparently the current Rapha bottles are not rebranded Camelbak - just plain old bottles with no lock mechanism and £14 a pop (for the Rapha name!).
Does anyone know of large bottles with a tube (e.g. camebak)?
I am reworking my setup a bit (due to having bought rollers), and at the moment am finding it a bit harder to drink (and drink less often). Having the bottles (which are normally on a table in front of me when using the direct drive trainer) on my desk and the tube easily accessible seems like it might help with the problem. I can drink enough by just grabbing the bottles, but would likely drink more if it was easier (sucking on a tube).
They look like Specialized bottles with moflo tops:

At some point they swapped as you’ll find else where in the thread.
Anyone tried Grayl bottles? They seem to have swept the ‘Best of’ for 2024. Curious if it’s all BS.
It seems an odd mechanism as really good filter systems can take a lot of time to gravity filter water.
And apparently they are relatively new to the market?
Thanks…
