VO2 or Sweetspot workouts to compliment zone 2 training?

that’s stout. Like really stout. Personally, I’d be doing 75-80% Ftp on weekends. Tues and Thurs as is will give you enough intensity.

If you’re doing 5hours at 90% you need to retest.

That’s the thing… I suck at ramp tests. Don’t know why. VO2Max intervals (like Baird) are very easy for me, threshold (like Avalanche Spire) kills me typically though I can finish. By ramp test… keep stopping spinning at 18-19 mins, even though I can easily hit 240-250 watts outside for 5-6 minutes if necessary. It’s really weird (and I know my PM 4ii is relatively accurate, because the TSS and my HR match equivalent indoor rides with my Tacx Neo 2).

chunk out the FTP work in smaller durations with 2m rest in between and see if that helps!

Update - following advice here, I went ahead with trad base HV, + 1 vo2 workout per week. (Following on from Sus build MV.) Did ramp test after 4 weeks and ftp is same. Very happy to have maintained what I gained after sus build. And I am really enjoying riding outdoors with no pressure.
