VO2 Max or Threshold on days with strength training

So my typical week looks like this:

Mon: 1h active recovery
Tue: 2h VO2 Max or Threshold in the morning, 30 min strength before dinner
Wed: 2h Z2in the morning
Thursday: 2h VO2 Max or Threshold in the morning
Friday: 2h Z2 in the morning, 30 min strength before dinner
Saturday: Either 3-4h Z2 on the trainer, or hard free form ride outside (5-6h, IF 0.8 - 0.85)
Sunday: Either 3-4h Z2 on the trainer, or hard free form ride outside (5-6h, IF 0.8 - 0.85)

So basically I do one VO2 max workout, and one Threshold workout during the week. Is there any science which one combines better with strength training on the same day? Between the end of my morning workout and the start of my strength workout I have 8h of rest or very mild activity.

I remember listening to some pretty deep dives on ‘concurrent training’ on the podcast. Probably worth looking back at those. IIRC it was more AMPK and mTor activity being separated by at least six hours, than what the type (vo2, threshold etc) of AMPK had been.

yea, I remember this podcast, hence why I separate the workouts by at 8 hours.

Ampk is active up to 3 hrs after endurane training. MTOR is increased for about 18 hrs. You can combine both types of exercise without interference by doing endurance first, then 3-4 hrs later strength. At 67 Years old, I tried this and it required 2 days of recovery. I will continue to do strength and endurance on separate days.
