I’ve always just used a Feedback bike repair stand. Hang my hand towels on it. I’ve nothing to prove, it gets it done and makes it super easy to get on and off w/ no drama. No need to set up near a wall then.
Dead link, damn - I was close to getting a set of these. I may hold out for the Neros…
I tried it, and it worked fine… (the link, that is…)
Thanks, now I have a new excuse to buy more cycling stuff
-ouch my wallet-
here is another link, now it should absolutely work:
Justify it by making bike maintenance and trainer a bit easier! Multiple use purchase. ![]()
I had a similar noise on my Nero rollers only some of the time, usually going up a gradient. It would go away and then come back. Elite replaced the rollers and all is good now.
Check front drum. It should not to slide right/left. If it’s slides, it means, that bearings detached the drums. I was glued some rubber spacer between drum and bearings and now QM is completely silent.
Please check your Nero power plug cord. The cord isn’t flexible, as it should be for using with floating rollers and breaks near to the plug.
Thanks a lot! I will check that!
Did Jonathan post or discuss review of the Nero rollers?
Nothing I have seen or heard yet.
How much vibration is normal? I an testing QM rollers on slicks. Riding on the left side of the middle quite some strong vibrations go through my bikes frame into my arms. I checked the rollers. Cant see any bumps or irregularities. Also changed the location in the garage - still: rolling on the left side of the middle brings up vibration. Is there a fault or are vibrations normal?
sounds like your rollers are warped. Do you store them outside or in a heated area of the garage?
Hi, they are in a garage. Temperature is fine there.
How to check if the rollers are warped or fine?
Maybe my bikes wheels are slightly uneven? How to check all that?
Far as your bike, maybe ride with another set of wheels on them or have a friend ride the rollers on their bike to see if they replicate the problem.
Hi,
Tried various things:
Took different tyres - test run
Reinstalled the original tyres- test run
Tried different tyre pressure - test run
More or less the same. Quite some vibration from middle to left of center
I checked the roles: all plain, rolling fine, dont seem to be warped.
Now what i found: back wheel is slightly tacoed, but just a little.
Then again not to overdo it: the vibration is not much, like riding on not so smooth of street surface. But riding on the right of the center is much more smooth than left of center.
Any ideas?
Is the floor even? Maybe put a spirit level on it.
Hi, i tried different locations, too. Also put various carpets, different stuff under the rollers. No difference.
Asking all of you: dont you have any vibrations at all? Is it super smooth?
Could be some wear between the housing and bearing. I inserted a thin piece of plastic as a shim in mine to reduce vibration.
