Wanted to bring this up again as I think it’s a great little tool. Used it the last few tests (including this morning) and for me at least it really helps dig that little bit deeper. Gives that little extra push to keep spinning the pedals.
Pretty cool, better than my post it note with approx ranges.
@downhiller This is outstanding! I have a ramp test this coming Monday and for sure will use it. I’ll let you know how it goes.
This is great i hope to use it for my next ftp test
Thank you about this.
I will hardly use this “as intended” meaning while actually doing the ramp test, but now I have a ballpark idea of how long it will take to reach my goal
Awesome idea mate! Will definitely have a go with it during my next ramp, I’m assuming it will be an extra mental boost to push all that while longer to squeeze as much out of myself as possible.

Confession: I’ve never actually used this myself ![]()
Each time I do a ramp test I consider it, but then decide that I’d like to test as similarly as possible to how I’ve tested previously. I don’t know if this tool that I made would make me try harder, or less hard, and I’m reluctant to find out…
…but my last test came up at 299W, so one can only assume the tool would have made me push to 300 at least! Or would I have bailed at 288W, as soon as I’d passed my previous best of 287? Who knows eh!
OH very cool!! I might give this a try on my next ramp test…
Very cool idea. Is there a way to make it still count when the screen or tab is not open?
FWIW, anything past the 19:30 mark will raise your FTP and anything earlier will lower it. I believe every 8 or so seconds past 19:30 adds 1w
My ramp tests go up by 20W every minute. So, if you divide 20 into 60 and then divide again by 75%, that tells you how many seconds you have to go for another watt. 4 SECONDS! That’s it! Just 4 seconds for a watt. That’s pretty good motivation for me!
Going to give this a try next Monday for scheduled test.
@downhiller If you don’t mind me asking what was this written in? I’m trying to learn more coding so curious.
You know live FTP during ramp test was literally launched today right?
I didn’t when I wrote this, then watched the ramp video.
Nice new feature.
Nice
Is live FTP available on the ramp test when not doing group workout? I wasn’t sure if this was implemented purely as a group ramp test feature or not.
Yes, you can see it in a solo test.
Show the “Stats” at the right side of the screen.
Thanks for the clarification. Have a ramp test coming a week from today.
