Tubeless Plugs: Stan's Dart vs. Dyna-Plug vs. bacon

Well that didn’t take long to be proved right! Went out yesterday for coffee, got cocky as it was a short ride and just grabbed the minimal kit (5 small worms, CO2)…at literally the furthest point from home my girlfriend ran over some glass which put a decent sized slit in the tyre, spraying sealant everywhere with no sign of stopping on it’s own!

…4 used strips later, 1 of which popped out and the remaining 3 (!) of which stayed in in a row along the slash somehow managed to amalgamate into a blob capable of sealing the hole. Prayers were offered and a successful ride home followed (short ride to intermediate cafe stop, then added as much pressure as I dared for the longer leg home). Twisting the strip to make a ‘knot’ and being careful withdrawing the tool was the only thing that saved us I reckon. Lesson learned, next time bring the full kit with the larger worms and patches!
