Every season I go back to my training archive and reread the blogs and papers I have about cycling training. I do this to refresh my understanding of what I need to do in the off season to be ready for next season. Whatever your goals are, oxygen delivery is the key to success.
This post I was written for cyclists new to cycling training in order to give some detail about the physiology involved in cycling, the ultimate goal of what we need to achieve through training, and what that means in terms of workouts. It’s long. It has some generalized detail. But you might gain some key knowledge of what we can do to train better to ride better.
If you have any additional links to similar or more advanced articles, I’d love to read some. Please share. If you have questions we can try to answer them.
Good hunting.
