I wouldn’t call caad 10 low level - it’s a great bike. I’m sure the new wheels will smooth things out. Of course, next to the new Trek, it probably does feel slow.
For sure, this is the CAAD8 though so heavier and I think lacking some of the snap of the 10
Ah, gotcha. Still a nice ride. I’ve got an old quill stem Cannondale R400 from the early 90’s that rides amazingly well for it’s age. Love the aluminum Cdale’s.
Beautiful rig
24 Model - Only thing I’ve changed is the saddle to a 3D Fizik and I’m experimenting with the flashy wheels over Bontrager 62mm ones. They look cool when I’m getting dropped I suppose.
Man, the fact that you don’t have an oil slick chain with those wheels and that paint job is a crime SRAM even makes their own, so no need for aftermarket stuff.
Finally got the fit right (165 cranks and a 80mm stem). The bike really shines on this alpine gravel here.
I LOVE that pink! It really pops in a sea of black bikes (coming from a former black bike owner)
Thanks! My roadbike is black so i figured id go all out for the other. Can always paint it black in the future if I ever get bored of it.
Changed a few parts on the road bike. It’s seen quite a few kms over the years but I absolutely love it.
2021 FUEL EX 9.9: Fox 36 Factory 140mm, Fox Float X shock, Line Pro 30 wheels, Code RSC brakes, X0 transmission with Quarq, Reverb AXS. 14kg, though on a fun trail bike who’s really counting
More business upfront with 165’s and more party in the back with 10-52.
And of course Thunder Burts 2.1 (clipped in the back)
Impressive you got the 2.1’s in there! My 50 mm rubbed every time I put down power and the bike flexed.
Great minds think alike @jkarrasch
I picked up my Checkpoint Gen 3 SL6 a few weeks ago, and quickly swapped over to 170mm Force E1 cranks and 40cm Zipp XPLR SL 70 bars (even at 6’5” the stock 46cm bars were way too wide!!). Ditched the junk stock tires for Specialized Tracer 700x50 too. I’m coming from a Salsa Cutthroat that had a Force D1/Eagle mullet and the Checkpoint is a rocketship in comparison.
My Cannondale Scalpel HT (2022) Currently in Hill Climb Config.(28t Sprocket) I’ve got a 36t for Gravel mode and everything in between for XC
Purple Mist was only available for one year, but it is
I’ve named her Psylocke, hence the sticker on the Lefty.
That pink on the crux has to be one of the nicest looking factory paints I have seen. My wife has one, and the blue that comes through the pink in the right light is just impressive. I need to sort out some shorter cranks for that bike as well.
