My new carbon fiber steed. Unfortunately despite being a recumbent I’m struggling to adapt to the seat. Previous bent fit perfectly but had to buy this one without a test ride. I have some strategies for mitigating though.

But definitely fast!

new bike day yesterday! Started racing 'cross last fall and am hooked, was racing solely on an SS nature cross. This thing is a ripper.

The bling keeps getting blinger:
Sub 7.2 with these wide tires and probably too much sealant.
Sub 7 with racing clinchers.

Finally my road bike is fixed and better than ever with the groupset upgraded from R8020 Ultegra to SRAM Force/Red. What a huge upgrade from the always hard to get right shifting to the slight tension when steering because of the shift cables to absolute perfect shift and smooth steering. I always had philosophical issues with electronic shifting but this frame was clearly designed with mechanical shifting as an afterthought

I miss my Topstone…I sold it early in the pandemic thinking I needed something fancier/carbon etc. and some of my PR’s are still from when I had that bike!!!

Tanwalls and red bar tape? Classic :star_struck::face_with_monocle:

Summer big tyres and bigger cassette

Yeah I’m constantly looking for an upgrade but the bike rides well and is comfy enough. For my 40th birthday in 2 years maybe :relaxed:. A Scott Addict Gravel would be nice or a grizl and a road bike :joy:.

Got the bar tape on the cheap but it’s already worn. Never had that this quickly with lizard skins, will probably wrap it tomorrow in black :pensive:

I had hoped you found the secret to clean, long wearing red bar tape!

Lol and OT. I built up a frame for commuting about 6years ago. I did so with bars off a mate that were already wrapped in Lizard Skins (the hard type, I don’t actually know the proper name). I don’t know how much he used the bars before giving them to me but I done over 6000 miles on them before temporarily retiring the bike in 2019 (for storage in a mates garage whilst I had a major op). I retrieved it earlier this year and the tape was still good although I eventually had to strip it when the cable outers fell apart. I always wrap my best bike bars in Lizard Skins (the soft type) and whilst it did show signs of wear, it was only after 15,000miles and it never moved :+1:

Both of my Ridleys…

CX bike as always dirty… but great fun
Noah Disc Aero bike for giving it the beans! - I need to find a better green bar tape maybe with some black colouring mixed in.

Haha the Red/Orange one is also the sticky Lizard skin, never had them go bad that quickly I hope the Black one that I just put on will hold up for a long time again.

Such a classic race bike…other bikes may be more aero and all that, but I feel like these CAAD’s will still look good in 20 years.
