Trainer Road vs FasCat

Does anyone have experience with both TR and FasCat (FC)?? FC drags TR fro being too hard in the base period with Threshold and VO2 workouts. It seems they prefer a lot of Sweet Spot and Tempo but nothing higher in this base phase. They switch from “base to race” at some point and do very intense (Polarized?) work at that point in the build and peak.

Anyone have experience with this? It seems like I hit the same power plateau every summer and TR sends the same cycles of VO2 on Tues and Thresh on Sat all season long.
