TRAI and Minimum Effective Dose

But AI isn’t selecting duration in the first place is it? When I did plan builder I was choosing the workout duration, not AI.

Does this happen though? In my limited messing around with the calendar, trying to game with what is basically bad training (too fast a ramp, much harder workouts) leads to a flat or reduced prediction.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t choose my plans based on the best predicted aiftp - to date anyway. Partly that’s because it’s a new feature, and partly it’s to get my bike in a good place that I can change focus on run.

For a lot of people I would expect it helps them step down from vastly more training than they need, into a more consistent, progressive overload.

The main distinction for me is the masters toggle, my predicted gains are much lower if I choose masters. But longer term…would I be better on masters? As a triathlete whose weakest discipline is run, I plan to shift to masters next month when I’m hopefully at 260ish as I get more hard work out of my runs. I’d like to see gains under masters but I’m happy if they are smaller over time and are more consistent.
