Tour de France 2019

As annoying as the nbcsports broadcast team is they really have great production quality on the streams. Keeping on top of gaps and how many riders in the break and where jerseys are is super nice if you’re not glued to the cast. Like if you’re watching at work or something

A good little bunch forming here for La Planche des Belles Filles. Can’t tell who the EF rider is though… is it Woods, Uran, or Tejay?

Got the cycling, tennis, and cricket all on. Multi-tasking at its finest.

:scream: Awesome stuff!

What a stage!!! Alaphilippe looked to be spinning out a bit on the gravel, tough to climb out of the saddle on gravel, especially on 20%. Glad they included the gravel.

The guy at the finish line pushing riders along should communicate better what he’s doing, looks like he almost knocked Teuns off his bike lol.

Stage 6 - Brutal looking finish today (especially at the end of 100 miles)! A lot of weaving back and forth at the top! La Planche des Belles Filles - Tour de France | Strava Ride Segment in Plancher Les Mines, Franche-Comté, France

Also pretty cool to see that a bunch of those in the TrainerRoad group have been up it. Chapeau Ben Craggs :100:

As I’m a Kiwi, I will be keeping a watch on our man, George Bennett, currently 4th overall. I’m just hoping and would be epic if he could get into the Maillot jaune, even for one stage at least!

I’m impressed that in his first TdF, local boy Michael Woods is holding on to 16th at 2’02" back. I’ve seen him a few times around town.

Oh dear. Tejay’s done for

another amazing stage, that finish was great

Yup, super-exciting to watch. Looked like a pretty spicy stage, all in.

If you have NBC Gold, they have an ad free feed. But different commentators than Phil Ligget and Bob Roll.

Well, hellooooo cross-winds. :face_with_hand_over_mouth: Might have caught a few sleepy-heads out.

ETA: Can this guy do it all?!

wow. “time lost and time gained”

The thought of rolling along packed into in a peleton like that at 55-60km/h is terrifying.

The broadcasters keep talking about how Alaphilippe won’t be able to hold onto yellow past the TT, but at the Criterium du Dauphine he was 7th is a pretty decent field. How long can he actually hold on given that he’s got over a minute to play with?

Loved seeing that WTF face. :joy:

Let’s see how he’s doing at the end of the week: mountains → ITT → Tourmalet. He might well go for KOM and help position Mas for the final week.
