Sorry I don’t have the answer but I popped into the thread to ask the same question. Hopefully we’ll get an answer or maybe even any other good suggestions?
i came to ask the same question for app and routine!
Sofia mentioned that she might return to contest the women’s race in the future.
Did any of the TR athletes post up power data from the race?
Yes, Jonathan did.
That was a cool thing, the discussions leading up to the race, the race itself, then the perspectives shared. I really enjoyed all of it.
I created a fake account for Matt Beers on Intervals.icu and loaded up all the power data he posted on Strava. So if you want to know what it takes to win the race have a look:
To be clear the power data is real and his PM wasn’t acting up! He is 6"5 and 82 kg.
I couldn’t believe the numbers he was putting out, thanks for confirming they’re legit.
Totally agree that this TR cape epic was really good to follow.
Just a real shame it didnt have Chad and Nate both racing and trash talking each other the whole event.
Rossouw’s bike used at the Epic. A bike designed by a local (SA) company.
Man, they very much look like they are Canyon Lux’s with a new paint scheme
Hey @SeanHurley
Not sure if you’re the man for the job, but thought I’d post a couple of Q’s for the Q&A tomorrow if possible?
1/ did @Jonathan find the trail conditions to be like Reno as suggested on the Pod at the start of this whole thing?
2/does this stir the intrigue for more XCM Stage Racing? Back to Cape Epic? Maybe Breck or Swiss Epic? Or just increase the desire to get to ST6?
3/Sofia interested in another crack at the mixed category (any of the above racers) with Jonathan? Or elite only?
I suspect if Sofia makes the effort to go back to Cape Epic she’s intent on racing the UCI women’s race. She wants to go full gas!
Except the Canyon has a better look pivot assembly.
Head to the TrainerRoad Instagram to submit!!! Thanks in advance!
Is there a way to re-watch the Q&A or did anyone record it for the podcast? It’s something I’d have liked to tune in for, but time zone and work didn’t work.
It’s available on our Instagram!
Just thought I would bump this hoping Sophia or the team sees it and reaches out to her as there seemed to be a fair amount of interest in this!
Saw at least a glimpse of a TR jersey in there at one point!
Also, what a reminder about the privilege of opportunity that many of us enjoy, simply by fate of where we were born. Loved to see that little bit at the end, about Lachlan and Kenneth buying land to start a cycling school in Kenya. Hope that comes to fruition.
