Hello all… Looking for recommendations.
Today (Xmas day) my wife got me a giro aerohead.
I am not sure how I feel about it. It looks goofy (to me) and I am not sure if I would benefit from such a helmet. Plus although comfortable, it feels weird and the visors seems to be too close to my face. Not sure if I am making excuses tho.
A little background. I have only have one expensive helmet since I started riding. A specialized evade, from 2013. I got it when it came out and love it. I use it for everything, including racing. I was thinking about getting a newer evade next year, but my wife surprised me with the aerohead.
She is ok with me getting something else. She got it as a token, if you will. She did a research and people seem to think the aerohead to be one of the best for racing triathlon (cool, fast, aero). I know giro has a similar helmet to evade… The vanquish? That’s something I would probably use more since I would not feel like a dork riding out with it… Any advice would be appreciated!
