I happen to have a BlueSeventy Helix and very comfortable and easy to get out of BUT it zips up the other way and I have to ask for help to get into it which drives me mad and raises my stress level before every single event.
I’ve rented other BlueSeventy wetsuits when trying them out and they e also been absolutely fine. I would definitely ensure you can try and return (hard in the U.K. at the moment with pools closed?)
Oh god, you’ve just reminded me. I got a front zip 2XU trisuit because the back zip is a hassle. The zip thing has a soft cover but it wore a small hole in my chest anyway, every single race
I really like the look of the Zone3 wetsuits, but I see a lot of reviews online saying the entry/mid-range suits are easily damaged and start to tear quickly under the arms.
Just bought this suit earlier this morning from swimoutlet.com for $225 and after seeing your post I messaged customer support asking for a price match - they credited me the difference. Thanks for this!!
I did a few days of double run few years ago while training for marathon.
Just the idea of getting home, get dress and go for a run at the end of a hot afternoon, gives me chills.
If you live in a cold ish area, it works fine!
I do like to breakup my long runs into 2 runs. It gives me a chance to get hydrated and somewhat recovered for 2nd run. So a 20 would be 10 early and 10 evening. I feel the recovery is better plus I don’t have to carry gels and water since you don’t need much fir a 90ish min aerobic run.
Also race in the Huub DS long course suit. Only Tri suit I’ve ever had to be honest coming from a purely cycling background. The thinness of the pad alarmed me when I got it, but to be fair it’s never caused me an issue and I’m a fan of it. Longs a great deal at those prices.
De Soto are well known for theirs. Keep an eye on the other forum (ST) because there are often special discount codes put on there by the De Soto peeps.
