Swapping recalled Ultegra chainset to 105. Can I?

Due to my location, getting my recalled chainset inspected isn’t an option, and I don’t trust it being safe in future anyway, so I’m opting to spend a relatively small amount in buying a 105 chainset instead as I will simply never trust Shimano bonding ever again.

– Can I simply swap the Ultegra chainset for the same size in 105?

– Also worth mentioning the bike is Specialized Roubaix Expert with Di2. Will I need to unhook Di2 wires around bottom bracket area to do this?

You simply undo the old chainset and fit the new one. You will need a hex key and the very cheap preload tool. No need to undo anything else.

Having said that, I wouldn’t bother if the old crank appears sound. Anything can break and something will if you ride enough.
