Surviving 3x15 min at threshold - survival tips welcome

I might be misrepresenting Adaptive Training here, but my fear is that - in the example where someone’s ramp test FTP is perhaps 102-3% of actual threshold - by the time you got to the point where 3x15 was possible, you’d have got fitter, re-tested with a better ramp test result, and be back to doing the shorter intervals again.

From the progression example from Nate this would be the case. Basically ditching ramp test would be the best solution if you are not 100% sure it works for you. Honestly - 3x15, especially done a little under FTP should be workout doable by any person with proper cooling. And the progression from AT is in intensive route not extensive - also very important factor.

Not read all the posts but to be honest, unless v fatigued…if can’t do 3x15 without dying…need to lower ftp…try longer 40 min test.

I love the self talk chat, probably deserves a post all of its on, sometimes on hard and long intervals like this I sub divide them so many times it’s like inception. Like “only one minute to go until I’m half through the first part of the middle quarter…” or scrambled words like that :joy:
