Supplemental Oxygen at Altitude

I am using an ebike on zwift because other riders have better genetics than me and I deserve to level the playing field.

When I’m in Leadville at `10k+ feet, I often think about how much of a handicap it would be to do Zwift races at that altitude. Coming from sea level, you lose the better part of 20% of your aerobic power in Leadville. It would be nice if Zwift would give an elevation adjustment to even the playing field a bit, but I’m not sure how they would do that without people abusing it.

I have had the thought and conclusion. No way it doesnt get abused and nearly impossible to regulate

This is a big reason why I’ve only done one Zwift race ever and it was for a Colorado cycling group. I have done plenty of races (to get the route badges) where I just ran my TR workout on the ipad.

In fact, you get double whammied at elevation on Zwift because not only do you have less oxygen, you also have to push through sea level air density.
