Strength sets only to failure?

According to TR info on how to account for Strength training, accountable working sets should be taken to failure. This is in contrast with the current practice in cycling which is NOT to take sets to failure to not induce excessive muscular fatigue. So if sets are not taken to failure should we add the session to the calendar?

I’ve been wondering this same thing myself. I’ve wondered about set tracking if the set is not done to failure - which I never do…

I’ve been tracking every strength session on my calendar I’m not sure how to best do sets.

In my opinion, the way AI is accounting for strength workouts is broken and needs to be addressed by TR. It was giving automatic red days after an hour long upper body strength session when I was actually logging the sets. Something isn’t right, so I wouldn’t put too much thought into any of it at this point.
