Strava Speed Metric seems inconsistent -vs- power

Yesterday I did an easy workout with an avg power of just 134W. TR embedded an avg speed of over 23mph (as displayed in Strava). Then today, I did a moderate 2-hour workout with an avg power of 165W. TR embedded an avg speed of 21.5mph. 30 more watts, but 2mph slower.

Bodyweight didn’t change. No elevation, wind, bike equip, road surface, or drafting influence. Is speed just a random variable? I like that we get speed/distance credit for our training rides. But I’d like to know the logic behind the value.
