Strap mounted mud-guards on carbon fork?

Hey riders, is it okay to put electrical or some other tape on carbon fork before installing strap mounted mud guards like these Zéfal - SHIELD G50 - Gravel Bike Mudguard Set.
Any other solutions will be appreciated, i am new to the carbon material and dont want to damage it.

Google “helicopter tape” if you want to be fancy. But I would be lying if I said I never used electrical tape :-). Add “bikepack” to your search and you’ll find threads about alternatives used by bikepackers to protect from frame bag straps.

I use this, self-fusing silicone tape. It’s nice because it adds a bit of grip to the fender/fork/stay interface and reduces rattling and wobbling slightly while also being a bit thicker than most adhesive tapes for additional protection.

Thanks you both. It looks like glue on the tape won’t do damage to the carbon, am I right. I don’t want to have glue left overs on it forever.
