I washed by bike(wow crazy) and had readings over 3000watts my zero offset/calibration value was reading 2500, I replaced the battery(which let the unit dry for a few minutes), then it read around 1300. I then took of the cover and rode around the block for a few minutes and it returned to a 900 reading. I doubt that the damage is permenant but stages said:
The acceptable calibration/zero reset range is 840-940 so your PM is a bit elevated with 2000+
It could be that some moisture intrusion may be affecting the electrical components of your power meter. To rule this out, please follow these instructions:
- Remove the battery and battery cover.
- Clean and dry the inside with a cotton swab and some rubbing alcohol.
- Leave the power meter open in a warm, dry area with good ventilation.
- For best results, place a fan so it blows directly into the battery compartment to aid in drying.
- After at least 72 hours, install a new battery and attempt to calibrate the unit with a Zero Reset.
