You’ve obviously never sat in a car with air conditioned seats.
I use the fizik adaptive saddle on my mtb no issues keeping it clean.
haha I have a hard “No!” on on-AC’d leather car seats. It would be pure swamp ass in the summer for me without it!
Hi
Just saw this thread and it seems like I can get some advice.
I’m running the Power Pro mirror in 155 mm and have 126 mm seatbone measurements. Did it in a store on a machine.
Followed the salesperson tip that 155 is right for me but starts to doubt.
First off I ride an aggressive position. Slammed stem. Have done a bike fit and been used to this position for a long time.
My problem is that I get groin pain. And also like a sticky pain (fatigue maybe) bum. Also some rubbing backside thighs from the wide wings.
I tend to move a little forward during hard power.
Don’t get me wrong I like the mirror.
When I move forward during power I tend to be in front of the cutout witch not feel optimal.
So as I see it I have two options.
-
143 mm (seem to be 148 irl) power mirror. Maybe it’s a better fit and maybe narrower at the front part? Maybe the 143 will be great and I will be able to sit in one position.

Go romin mirror. But then I’m not sure about size. Anyone know the width of the actual seating area?
I think that my general seating position gives me a narrower seatbone measurements than on the machine. But scary to buy a expensive saddle and then it’s to narrow.
The power is good when on the tops and upright but that’s not how I ride.
The romin center channel seem to been longer but narrowed.
Many seem to think romin is more for aggressive riding.
Anyone have an estimate of how much the seat bone changes depending on upright vs aggressive style?
Thanks for all advices.
As with all things saddle related, the answer is “it depends”.
But, in general, I would say that the 155 is too wide for you and would not recommend the Romin. If you are already moving forward on the Power saddle, switching to a Romin just means you are gonna be squeezing your undercarriage more.
But, everyone is very individual when it comes to saddles. I used to ride the old Profile Tri saddle that was HUGE….and had a massive nose on it. I could get quite low on it and be very comfortable. Most fitters would say, based in shape, that it was a poor saddle choice for me given my very low position, but it was very comfortable for me.
I would recommend trying the 143 and seeing how that feels.
I had a similar experience, including comparable sit one width, but ended up switching to the 143mm saddle. There was a brief adjustment period but am now very comfortable. I had the 155mm longer than 30 days but ended up selling it on FB for minimal loss.
So u love the 143 mm Power Mirror? I find it hard to be at the ”right” spot where my tissues get support. I mean the cutout. But maybe that’s because the 155 is to wide and keeps me going forward because of rubbing at backside thighs.
Have ordered a 143 and almost changed my mind but I have decided to give it a try. I believe it will be great if it’s the right width for me and I can stay in the “right” spot.
If that would not work I will go romin mirror. But one saddle at a time
I’ll echo the same thought. Fit in store said to go with the 155mm Power. Hated it. Rubbed my thighs and was just plain uncomfortable. Sized down to a 143mm Power Arc, then picked up a 143mm Power Mirror and love them both but definitely prefer the Mirror. The one caveat is that both the Arc and Mirror are rounded compared to a flatter Power. But between the sizing down and more rounded profile, I get along way more. So hard to say if it was just sizing down or that plus the round shape, buts worth a try.
Yeah, if the back of the leg pressure is an issue, I’d suggest the Arc for a test. It is notably more rounded than the regular Power in the leading side of the wings.
I might have to buy a power arc, im getting some sit bone pressure that is causing numbness in my feet on longer slower rides on my current saddle the roman. Wonder if anyone else has had this issue and this saddle helped.
Can’t comment on the mirror, but I also had a similar experience for measurement. LBS said 155mm for me, but I found the 143mm much more comfortable.
Very likely the Power Mirror pro will be my next saddle. The regular Power cured my numbness, but still getting a little sore on the sit bones.
Anyone know where I can buy one? I can’t find them in stock at specialized.
Willing to buy from one of you who didn’t like it.
For those who have put a lot of km’s / hours on their Power Mirror, have you found the saddle design (open 3-D printed surface) to wear bibs out any faster than a smooth saddle? I’ve seen other reviews where people mention this, but interested to hear from those who have used one long enough. Thanks.
I’ve never seen a review say it’s a problem. Have you?
Which one?
Power mirror.
Size?
No issues for me with any of the Mirror saddles wearing out my bib shorts. I wear Sponeed, so not the highest quality, either.
One review here mentions the apparent issue. I’ve seen mention of this elsewhere as well.
The comments don’t seem to indicate that it’s a matter of size, more a matter of surface texture (?).

Thanks for sharing. I’ve seen this as speculation, but never an “it actually happened” review like this one.
I used a Pro Stealth for a while until I realized that the designed caused my inner thigh to rub on the seat bolt, which destroyed multiple pairs of bibs
