I’ve had many fits from fitters who are expensive and highly recommended if that’s what you mean. I’ve never had one that I thought solved problems to the extent that I didn’t still have to go home and tinker myself.
Damn.
Lingering fit issues are the worst
My new house’s basement is not level slope wise so I put a piece of wood under the two front legs of my Neo bike to level it. I then proceeded to level my power elaston saddle.
I do wish the post would accept a power mirror but with it only accept 7x7 and mirror needs 7x9. Sad face but love my Neo bike so it is all good n
Has anyone tried one of the 3d printed saddles from Bjorn? Cheaper than Specialized, and being a recovered weight weenie, a known brand.
Not by much…~$30. I would look at a Fizik 3D saddle first if I was interested in saving money.
Mounting my Power Mirror on the trainer bike today….but other than a quick sit, i probably won’t ride it for at least another week.
Never tried but I am sure there is a difference. What difference and price though its worth, only you can decide that. If they have a good return policy give it a whirl. Personally happy with my Specialized one.
How did you do this mapping? Looks cool!
And since it’s pretty easy to get the 15% off coupon from Specialized, it’s more expensive.
BikeFit with saddle pressure mapping!
I used the level to make sure my bike was perfectly level on the floor and it made a massive difference in comfort.
Yea did the same as after 1 ride since it felt off. Fine now.
Weight weenie and comfort. These seem to be a bit in conflict. Plus $40 extra in shipping to the US
See that light grey area in the middle? You’re rocking more in the mirror saddle. Get the height and setback adjusted of the saddle after swapping?

different bike fitters use them

Yeah, that could possibly be correct. If I remember correctly this was the initial measurement without changing anything else.
We realised that the Mirror saddle is a bit taller itself than the S-Works Romin was, so I am sure that we lowered a bit. Have been experimenting a lot since then and have changed a lot of stuff, but the Mirror is still the best saddle I’ve ever used.
The extra movement could also be the saddle actually allowing it… The S-Works Romin had no padding almost, so any movement would be painful (and under lot of pressure). Since Mirror is so soft it wouldn’t surprise me if inherently was a bit kinder to movement on the saddle.
I’ve been intrigued by the 3d saddles but they all look like they’d have too much friction and cause the shorts to rub the skin since they can’t slide easily on the saddle. Did anyone here experience that?
Well, they do have a little bit more friction, but definitely nothing that stops you from moving around on the saddle. Sliding - sure… but I just lift the bum 1mm and move!
I have also realised that they get more and more slidey as time goes on, so the über matte texture kind of gets polished when you ride a lot.
I haven’t had any issues with skin rubbing, but the saddle is definitely a bit tacky. My concern is that over time it will prematurely age bibs.
I can concur that it is worth the money if you have it. I recently bought one for my gravel bike, switching over from a Brooks B17 saddle. Feels just as comfy, if not more, with no break-in period. I’ve only done a couple of rides on it but have never felt uncomfortable, or felt the need to shift my position. I can see it being a pain to clean if it got dirty, but that is my only complaint.
Not even a little bit.
It does feel kinda tacky when new, but the feeling wears down pretty quickly. I think someone mentioned that above too.
