I hadn’t heard about rockshox’ problems but that’s definately putting me off… I also considered Fox 34 SC but the pricing in Europe is just ridiculous (~1250€ for the factory version and around 1100€ for the performance model). For comparison, the SID SL is 750€. Maybe the Manitou r7? Around 700€ for the pro model and 600€ for the elite.
I’ll also ask a deal for the bike + fork swap from the bikeshop. It’s possible they have some repaired left over forks from warranty claims and such that they can’t sell for full retail.
