That was an older (2016-2017) NoPinz suit. But also, skinsuits test fairly individually, just like helmets.
Get whichever suit, just make sure to get a 3d scan fit if the option is available.
Our team went with Vie13 this year and might be worth a look. I don’t know how much is available at their online store as they seem to be more custom oriented. Curiously, the warrny fits tighter than the speed suits (we have the zip up the front version). They do make a zip up the back version more oriented for track which looks kick ass as well.
I’ll bring this back up…
I’m not going to be on a team this year so I’ve got some freedom to choose my own race kit. Now I’m bogged down in too many choices without a clear direction. My team used Castelli which was just okay but I didn’t get along with the chamois after more than like an hour and a half (okay for crits but annoying for anything else or riding home from a race).
So does anyone have any current strong opinions? Looking for maximum aero while also considering price and comfort. The one’s I’m currently looking at are:
- Rule 28 (probably fast but tippy top of my price range at $450USD)
- Cuore Silver 2-in-1 (old design, no idea how aero, worry about only being in black for heat, but much cheaper at $180)
- Rapha Roadsuit (Also only black, probably pretty comfy, also expensive at $420)
- Maap Pro Race Suit (more interesting design, also expensive at $425)
There are others like Nopinz, Spatzwear, etc but they’re out of stock at the moment. I know these things can be pretty individual but I’d be interested in anyone’s reviews or opinions to help narrow it down!
Theblackbibs have a budget friendly one that fits well. Velotec one is nice too with fancier arm fabric and nicer chamois. Personally I like theblackbibs ones best, even over my team’s current pedalmafia skinsuit.
Our team is sponsored by Cuore and most of us have the 2-in-1 and our kits are black. I wear them all the time for hot races. No issues. We were testing the gold version of this and it’s basically see through ha.
