Short Power vs General Build for XCO

My setup has varied over the years but I used to do the Saturday workout on Thursday and then I’d ride outside Saturday. Sunday would stay the same.

If you still want to ride outside both days on the weekend, pick an outside workout you could do while exploring some fire road one of the days or just take one of your weekend days and make it a longer but less intense day?

This is why plan builder exists.

Tnx and yes I plan to ride outside as much as possible. Unfortunately the terrain available this time of year is lots of ups and downs and roots and rocks. Which I enjoy a lot, but is not conducive to 10-15 min SST/FTP intervals. That’s fine, is what it is.

I suspect those outdoor rides have plenty of short power stuff just by nature of the riding. So have built out an indoor plan to focus on the longer high SST / FTP work that should complement that.
