Shimano 105 12-speed Mechanical (R7100)

Still 2 x 11 mechanical and rim brakes .

After an altercation with a car and new wheels I’m going to Praxis Alba cranks and 48/32 rings . These are replacing the original Oval 520s which had 50/36 then 48/34 . Ultimately I’d like to run a 105 12 spd rear mech with an Ultegra 11-30 cassette . Close enough and low enough . The issue is finding a way to shift the rear mech . We really need a way to make 11 spd shifters do 12 speed .

Obviously this is precisely what Shimano doesn’t want , but I don’t know why because all current bikes are set up for disc brakes so not very likely to affect much of the market .

The rim brake market is by now tiny and disappearing, so it doesn’t make financial sense to accommodate it. If I were you I’d accept your fate and start saving up for a new bike.

I don’t think that’s going to happen. I haven’t heard of a company that does 12-speed conversions (which is an option if you ride SRAM 11-speed mechanical drive trains).

Pretty sure this product will do the trick.
