After taking a spin through the midwest, I’m gonna go ahead and call it: there’s never going to be another Dirty Kanza.
Obviously, the name is going to change but I mean more than that. There isn’t going to be another race in that ‘lineage’, by whatever name, that finishes by riding through the ESU campus and coming down a finishing chute on Commercial Street in Emporia. That race is most likely dunzo for the foreseeable future.
Congrats to all you riders who finished 2019 DK. Anything can happen but right now it looks like that will be the last DK ever.
