Riding Petaluma, Sonoma, Napa California

Looking for best sites and ideas for doing the wine region. I’ll be there early next year, and would love to ride the area and explore more. It’s been years since I’ve been there (1991) so I’m sure a lot has changed. Would likely need to rent a bike too, but will look into flying with my bike (Delta) but it way be too costly.

TIA…

Anderson Valley , Russian River Valley. For some real hills there is always Scaggs Springs rd.

As a simple start, you can look up the numerous century rides that take place there and cherry pick the routes that suit your taste. There’s no shortage of incredible routes. Of the top of my head you can look up Giro Bello, Marin Century, Santa Rosa Century, and Levi’s Gran Fondo.

Check out Pope Valley and the Lake Berryessa area if that isn’t too far from where you’re staying – beautiful riding and usually very little traffic out there!
