Ramp Test in Sustained Power Build - necessary with AI detection?

Hi all.
I’m in the middle of the Sustained Power Build plan. It’s 2026, so AI detection is doing its thing (i’m generally happy with it.)

Here’s my question. After next week’s recovery week, I have to take a ramp test according to the plan. My question is: Why? If TR is infused with the aroma of AI all over now, and if the system generally has a sense of my power metrics to the point of an FTP value not being critical to its computations, then why should I be told to do a Ramp Test? Wouldn’t it be better to swap that out for a regular workout now? If not - why not?

Hey there! Sorry for being late here. I think some wires got crossed when we were looking at this one a while back.

You shouldn’t be seeing Ramp Tests on your calendar. Do you know if that one was inside or outside of your AI Training Window?

Also, have you seen this issue pop up lately?

I think I’ve seen at least one other case of Ramp Tests popping up recently.. :thinking:
