Question about end of power phase

Just upgraded from single to dual sided power meter and see this every ride. Looks like I’m pulling up only on my left leg…!?

Anyone know what’s going on with my left leg?

Is this a bike fit or technique issue?

Thanks for your insights!

Have you already tried to do a ride where you intentionally pull up your right leg? Maybe even some single leg riding? Doing so should make it a lot easier to figure out the issue:

  • If the power meter reads the same despite the intentional/aware pulling of the leg, it’s likely an issue with the device
  • If the data looks fine in those rides, it’s an issue on your side, and you could e.g. try to incorporate single leg drills into some of your rides to try to improve this situation

When you say two sided, is it two individual PMs, like power pedals or crank arms, or is it a single PM that measures total power, like a spider PM?

Good idea, will try that - had a solid club ride last night with periods in pacelines and solid climbs - still see the same patterns. The left was end was more clustered to the offset in places but not for any particular reason.

Garmin RK210 pedals - could be equipment but the left offset does change around quite a bit. Have moved my saddle around a bunch without changing it at all. Will do some leg drills to see if that has an effect.
