I’m preparing a set of wheels for spring usage after sitting over the winter. PZero Race TLR in 30c width. One was complete normal but on the other I found these diagonal lines separating from the tire among the sealant. I used Silca sealant. It feels as though the layers of the tires separated and sealant filled some sort of void. From the outside the tire looks fine. I thought I had a couple more years on the tire. Oh, front tire too.
Has anyone seen this before or know what might cause it?
I’d clean the gunk off the inside of the tire and assess again. to me it looks like the sealant just stuck to the protruding threads of the tire. just looks dirty but I don’t think the tire is damaged form these pictures.
I’ve had this with Pirelli Cinturato Velo’s - the rubber began seperating from the carcass and resulted in bubbles of air being trapped between the two.
