I don’t know man. My levels are 1.0 but my FTP is 2000.
Strava does let you control how private your feed is.

I love it! Thanks, Nate.
Personally, I only use Strava as a personal diary and the more info in it the better.
Absolutely not a fan. I do my best to not be a vector for advertisements in my social media feeds. For a service I pay for to think that I somehow owe them any extra endorsement feels like incentives have become misaligned.
All of the above applies not only to this change but to the decision to put any TR image at all in my Strava feed. I can tell from the other replies that I’m in the minority here but this sort of thing really bugs me. I am a user of this service, I am not the product.
I’m very happy to have TR in my Strava feed I just think this is just a bit too much info.
I’m a duel TR/Zwift user and I always delete the Zwift file because to me the TR file/graph represents what I actually did in the ride and I’m cool with that being the file on my Strava. Also, as a long time user I’m more than happy to “advertise” for TR on my Strava feed even though I doubt anything on my feed influences anyone.
I will say from a marketing perspective when Wahoo launched system and images like this popped up in my Strava feed it did peak my interest. I never tried it because I’m very committed to my TR plan but perhaps Strava does have it’s place for companies to market to other athletes. I do think TR could do better than just the blue graph, but not sure showing the progression levels is it.
I love it! AT numbers are a huge motivation driver for me and I’ll proudly share them. Thanks!
and lose legacy pricing???
I guess this provides a way to trend PLs over time… But I sure feel lame broadcasting my 1.0 for sprint, anaerobic, vo2. The underlaid image of a person on a trainer looks nice, though. Should add a big library of pictures to stick back there… maybe they can reflect rated effort level
This feature seems odd. PLs are so personal and current FTP is a huge part of that progression. I don’t want to advertise that info, mostly because my friends already seem to have trouble grokking a training plan. I mostly post a zwift route with TrainerRoad controlling the trainer these days because it doesn’t show any TrainerRoad info.
To me, the TrainerRoad info is just so specific to me and my progression.
The Wahoo videos are fun and they have a good thing matching up clips to a specific “mood” for the interval. It gets old really fast.
Just love it!!
I like it thanks.
I often add another photo and set it as Highlight instead of the TR workout one that gets auto linked.
Quite often it’s a photo from the cycling jokes and memes thread…
@Nate_Pearson Always nice to see software developing and evolving. I personally like this and I also like that you’ll give users the privacy option to disable it.
However I’d like to ask a question relating to @IvyAudrain comment on a different thread…
How will this update/feature make users faster cyclists?
I’m thinking of the many other feature requests that have been made and this one seems to have bypassed them.
It seems to me that this is just an advertising feature to get free publicity??
I like it
I really like it. I don’t think, for me personally, there is a downside to other people being able to see my progression levels. I’ve already had friends (non-TR users) asking what it’s all about, so hopefully it might help bring some more people into the trainerroad fold. I have no problem with this being a marketing driven change.
It is easy enough to delete the pictures from strava, but adding an option for the picture to not automatically upload is a good thing for those for whom there is a negative to this image
Of course it is advertising. More advertising hopefully translates to more users. More users equals more income. More income means more developers can be recruited to develop things that will make people quicker.
I don’t want TR to make my friends faster though!!
Must keep all the precious watts to myself
I like the new Strava image. Any plans to make this also available when sharing the workout to Instagram?
Love it Nate!
Personally, I don’t care if it’s there or not, but it seems a bit like if I were to post a graphic about one of my runs, stating that I ran x kms in a certain time: it just seems a bit pointless without the distance being shown (or FTP in this case). If TR thinks it helps them grow, I’m fine with it though.
Not a fan of the new pics .
I’m rarely on Facebook, so I think it’s fine if those images get uploaded.
Oh wait… Strava? I get those two confused. If I remember correctly, one is a circular firing squad and the other is a circle jerk. Which one is which?
TP, WKO, TR, Garmin.
