Progression Levels now in Strava Images

I do think having the system evaluate the actual work could solve this, but they do have secondary progression functionality already, it just doesn’t seem like it’s utilized extensively. Perhaps another pass through the library filling in some secondary progressions would be a way to buy some time for the ultimate solution. Watching my tempo progression languish when literally my sweetspot workouts are working on the upper end of tempo is kind of annoying. I don’t feel like I need to do a tempo workout just for the vanity of the PL, but it’s kind of tempting me to.

Must admit, couldn’t care less either way what shows on Strava! Show PL, don’t show PL…makes no difference to me!

I have to say I dont like the PLs being shown in Strava, it makes me jealous to see all these people with SS & Threshold levels in the 6-8 range while im barely able to get to 5 Threshold.

But they’ve all got a FTP of 150w

Struggled on McAdie+4 and got this:

Initially thought it was a decrease and immediately thought “Oh! The Shame!”

Is it possible to have progression levels added on outside workouts as well ?
All my rides on Strava are titled morning/lunch/evening ride. It would be nice to know what I did and how I performed when looking back at my training log.

We’re working on this. I don’t think we’ll be able to post a photo to those outside rides though.

Probably for the best. Can’t have our enemies guess at what training we’re doing outdoors too :joy:

(Sarcasm in case the italics didn’t give it away)

Found a use for PLs being displayed in Strava

You can compare pre and post FTP changes :+1: Just find your last workout and compare with what’s now on your career page.

FWIW, this bothered me til I thought more about the nature of PLs and realized that riders with low PLs obviously just increased their FTP or just started TR. When I made peace with the fact that PLs are akin to the “gain” knob on an amplifier and FTP was essentially the volume knob, it made it easier to stop worrying and love the bomb.

and this is why on TR the levels go to 11!!!
