Power match and power meter

I am sure this has been discussed and I did some searching and couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for so here goes.

Okay I have a Hammer trainer, quarq power meter and use my iPhone to run TR.

I want to use power match but I don’t seem to be able to as I don’t think my power meter is Bluetooth? I got the power meter used and don’t know everything about it (ugh) but it seems to be ANT+.

I have heard dongle but how would I hook a dongle to my phone as I use the port for the power cord?

Any ideas or am I just stuck?

For the iPhone you need this Ant+ adapter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0042WGO3Y/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You more than likely have to also have this to adapt the 30pin to lightning: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014854UWG/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

As long as you have a decent charge on your phone you shouldnt need to keep it plugged in charging during the workout unless you are doing a super long (>2hrs) ride.

You may need to remove your phone case to get the adapter to seat fully on your phone though.

Here’s the TrainerRoad support article also: https://support.trainerroad.com/hc/en-us/articles/201618914-ANT-Connectivity#ios-section

If it’s the newer DZero type Quarq it’s Bluetooth capable. If that’s what you have pairing with TR software is straightforward. Just click on devices to the left side of the screen and pair away.
