Yes, 80/20 is sessions. If you ride 5 days a week then that is only 1 HIIT session per week. Cyclists often try to do 2 sessions and it becomes more if you include racing. If you do a LV TR plan you might be doing three HIIT sessions per week.

If you go on time in zone, 80/20 should be more like 90/10, 95/5, or 98/2 depending on the time of year (periodization).
